Grown and cured in the heart of Mexico’s original vanilla region of Vera Cruz, the finely ground beans used in this Vanilla Sugar are the largest we’ve seen in two decades. They are magnificent monsters, cured to perfection by a fourth generation family, who also grows vanilla beans on their own land and purchase from other local farmers. Sadly, we have a very limited supply due to recent earthquakes, hurricanes and a major theft of vanilla bean inventory. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they rebuild and replant their stock.

Vera Cruz vanilla has a marvelous flavor and is unique due to the family’s exceptional curing process. This sugar is a perfect ingredient for your baking masterpieces. 

The Cinnamon Sugar is made using raw cane sugar and both ground and stick Ceylon-type cinnamon grown in Mexico. Ceylon Cinnamon is made from the inner bark of the Cinnamomum verum tree (Mexican Cinnamonor - Canella). Ceylon Cinnamon is less than 5% of the world's cinnamon supply and has long been prized as a cooking spice. It is quite expensive compared to the more common Cassia variety. This Cinnamon Sugar makes the very best cinnamon toast. And, try it in a latte - it is to die for!
