Mexico Cribbiana Vanilla Beans from Chiapas

One of the most unusual and unique vanilla beans available. Called Maya vanilla in Mexico, but known as the Cribbiana variety, these particular Mexico - Cribbiana Vanilla Beans are only grown in the Chiapas region of Mexico. Supposedly it is a hybrid of Pompona, Planifolia, and Tahitensis vanillas. Due to the difficulty of procuring these beans, we seldom can keep them in stock given high demand. They are very short and fat with a most unique vanilla flavor.

Growing elevation: 200-400 meters

Tasting notes: sweet vanilla aroma with subtle notes of floral and figs
