Tanzania (Kilimanjaro) - Planifolia Vanilla Beans

Grown on small plots by numerous independent farmers surrounding Mt. Kilimanjaro, these Tanzania - Planifolia Vanilla Beans are fabulous and extremely rich in flavor. This area of Tanzania is close enough to Uganda that we can source these vanilla beans at the same time we source our Ugandan vanilla.

Our friend who lives in neighboring Uganda has for years worked closely with and built up a substantial farmer network. He not only trains farmers on the proper growing techniques but also purchases these wonderful vanilla beans for us each year.

Growing elevation: 1000-1300 meters
