Nicaragua - Planifolia Vanilla Beans

Nicaragua produces some of the finest cacao in the world. They also produce some wonderful Planifolia Vanilla Beans, which we are excited to feature.  This vanilla is grown and cured by a friend of ours who originally came to Nicaragua as a Peace Corps volunteer.  His cacao which is used to make chocolate, is some of the finest in the world.

Growing elevation: 400 meters

Tasting notes:  plum and raisin notes
