Grown in Viet Nam - Tahitensis Vanilla Beans.

An entirely different species of vanilla bean called the Tahitensis, this vanilla is extremely rare and hard to come by. Less than 1% of all vanilla beans can claim Tahitensis status, so don’t be fooled by the imposters!  

These Tahitensis vanilla beans are sweet and have notes of chocolate, floral, cherry and anise.  Very complex!   This is a grower that we have provided technical assistance to for the past 3-4 years.  He was one of the last individuals to leave Saigon, before it fell to the communists in the 1970's.  He is now back in his country of birth and growing some truly amazing vanilla!

Growing elevation: 25-75 meters

Tasting notes: very sweet, with notes of anise, cherries, chocolate and floral.
