These Thailand Planifolia Vanilla Beans are from the area formerly known as the Golden Triangle. Located in Northern Thailand, this area was formerly the opium-growing capital of the world with its residents in absolute bondage due to drug and sex trafficking. Now, thankfully, it is seeing brighter days with coffee, macadamia nuts, vanilla, and flower production. The climate and geography here are perfect for vanilla.
